I would like to have a way to use my dd-wrt router to handle the VPN tunnel AND have the option to easily change the location of the VPN server, Would it be possible to make a plugin or some type of router control panel to work with DD-WRT or another open source firmware. ?110 votes
Interesting idea. What other functionality would you like to see in a VyprVPN Router?
It would be good if there were extra servers in Asia, ideally South Korea and Japan, instead of having to rely on the single server in Hong Kong for the best speeds100 votes
We are in the planning stages for launching servers clusters in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. The new locations will be ready in the next 60-90 days.
Because we own and operate our own server clusters and do not rely on third party hosting companies like every other VPN provider – it takes a bit longer to install our server clusters.
We strongly believe that running our own gear leads to better speeds and security for our users. So, stay tuned!
Please create an app vyprvpn that we can directly download in the synology nas server.
Synology technology is very impressive and deserve the best: Vyprvpn!!91 votes
This is a great idea. We will investigate what it takes to build a Synology App. However, it is possible to manually setup VyprVPN on the Synology OS. We will post instructions to our Support section in the next couple of weeks.
Give access to Dump Truck through FTP68 votes
I've been using VyprVPN for a while now and have been very pleased with the service, as well as many of my Family relatives and friends. I would highly suggest to open a VPN cluster ideally in the Gulf region (Dubai, Riyadh, Doha) as many internet services from this region are offered to other Arabic speaking countries (There are more than 28 Arabic speaking countries from the Arabian Peninsula in west Asia till Morocco and Mauritania in Northwest Africa). Having a VPN cluster in any of these countries would help in opening the boundaries of services that are broadcasted and Geo-restricted to the Middle East. Especially with current situation in the region, where Internet is being tracked, spied on by governments, and cyber attacks increasing. Statistics from YouTube and social networks describe Saudi Arabia to be the 2nd place in highest Internet Trafficking and 1st place in Mobile Int. Traffic. Other Arabian countries follow in ranking.
Summery: VPN in this region is a necessity!!!

We are currently evaluating Middle East locations to deploy a VyprVPN server cluster.
Why do you suggest Dubai?
What other locations in the Middle East should we deploy a server cluster?
Thanks for the feedback!
An Australian Server would be great. To access ABC for example. Many other australian sites are only for australian-ip's in access.58 votes
We will launch a Australia VyprVPN server cluster in in the next 60 days so stay tuned!
Download nzb from giganews directly in DumpTruck without passing to our connection for the transfert.54 votes
We need the ability to download a complete folder and everything in it with one click instead of having to download each file individually.
Currently I have to ZIP everything into one file and upload it. Believe it or not, some of my friends still don't know how to work with ZIP files.44 votes
One click download to a ZIP file is currently being developed. So please stay tuned!
The ability to handle multiple VPN connections routed for each application through their GUI.42 votes
We agree. This feature is under development.
What apps do you prefer be protected by VPN?
What apps do you prefer not use the VPN connection?
Adding a Country flag in the drop down menu where the status is located of VyprVPN (Windows/Mac OS X)
Title says all. Would be a grat option in my opinion. ;)36 votes
We have considered this idea in the past. Is the current dropdown confusing? Or do you think the flags merely help provide some context for the user?
When I pass my mouse arrow over the tray icon, the information is Vyprn Connected 10.xx.xx.xx . The internal IP is not very usefull, it would be better to give the location (I know we can obtain it by clicking on the icon).22 votes
So, you would like to have the location of the server you are connected to instead of the IP address granted by VyprVPN? Just clarifying.
Allow native ipv6 connectivity, and/or tunnel transversal 6to4 4to629 votes
We are currently looking at IPv6 solutions but don’t have an ETA yet. Our infrastructure supportsIPv6 but the limiting factor is the VPN server and client software. PPTP doesn’t support IPv6. We are currently evaluating how to get IPv6 working over OpenVPN and L2TP/IPsec.
disconnect all downloads when vyprn disconnects and resume download when vyprn reconnects14 votes
We are investigating a capability to bind the network traffic of specific applications to the VPN. In other words, if the VPN connection drops, the traffic to that application stops. When the VPN re-connects, the traffic resumes. If the app that is managing the download can resume the download then the case you describe would just be the natural side effect. If you agree that this is the kind of functionality you are looking for, we may merge this with the other request.
It would be a lot easier to share files using dump truck if we had a shell extension that allowed us to right click uploaded files and copy a link to the clipboard.19 votes
Thanks for the suggestion! This definitely would make sharing links more convenient.
progress meter ala DropBox60 votes
A progress meter is on the product roadmap. Thanks for the feedback!
I really enjoy the VyprVPN service. Would love to see more U.S. servers, particularly from NY and Chicago.19 votes
Develop an application for the Synology NAS for automatic replication of NAS content to Dump Truck25 votes
This is a great idea! We will look into it.
Add a DNS service that checks incoming IP of requestor and returns a geolocated IP specified in a webconsole.
e.g. Request comes from USA for UK website, Webconsole is set to return UK geolocated ip, allowing USA client to connect to UK hosted services as if they were in UK122 votes
Very interesting concept. We will speak with engineering about feasibility.
give us the ability to define an URL set which will be used for connections over the vyprvpn only.
lets say i define www.netflix.com only the traffic to/from netflix.com goes through the vpn connection, all other traffic will use the standard route without vpn9 votes
Interesting idea. We have had requests to be able to bind certain applications to the VPN. If the use case is viewing something in a browser, the app binding option would allow you route just the browser traffic. Would that be sufficient or are you aiming to load some URLs through the VPN and others through your local IP?
We have this option for the desktop product and would probably be an easy enhancement for Android.
- Don't see your idea?
