  2. Add traffic obfuscation options!

Tools can use pluggable libraries traffic obfuscation which all work using a unified system that disguise traffic to be more resilient against DPI and IP based censorship. Some VPNs offer this already, and it's pretty awesome. The Tor Project maintains the spec, but it doesn't require the traffic to use Tor: https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/doc/PluggableTransports

  3. I need a way to limit the bandwidth the connection allows.

I need a way to limit the amount of bandwidth the vpn uses. I know unlimited is mostly desired but for me, I want to watch the Olympics but http://olympics.cbc.ca/ streams HD to flashplayer at 1.8GB/hour and that will bust my bandwidth allocation in a short amount of time. Neither CBC nor Flashplayer nor VyprVPN has the ability to slow things down.

If I can't limit how much data the video uses I won't be able to watch at all and so I won't need the vpn either :(

  4. VyprVPN App for Chrome OS including Chameleon

Currently, VyprVPN only support L2TP for Chrome OS. However, Chrome OS Store has several VPN clients, and Chrome OS also allows 'force installing' any program, including a VPN using the admin console. It's what their official page says here: https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/1282338?hl=en

For those living in China, the Chameleon protocol would be much appreciated as it would enable us to make our chromebooks work better.

  5. Cheaper, with limited country choice (choose 3 country for 5$/mo)

10$ is too much, and i don't need 999 countries

Let us please choose a plan for 5$, that will only be available for 3 country of our choice

  7. Automatic Connection if WIFI isn't secured.

It would be great if you connect to a WIFI which isn't encrypted that VyprVPN connects automatically (if you setted up this feature in the Settings) to a VPN.

  8. 128-bit Chameleon Protocol (443)

Chameleon is great in China, when I have a reliable internet connection. Unfortunately, since my job requires me to be on the move a lot, connecting to anything other then PPTP just doesn't happen with the Shotty WiFi of most hotels.

Furthermore, when not traveling for work, I use VyprVPN Router @ home, and since I am still in China the scrambling of metadata does wonders for my browsing, however, I'm a gamer and the increased overhead of 256-bit encryption hurts my multiplier experience.

  9. Allow VyprVPN service to selectively start / start at app start

    Crosspost from:
    http://forum.goldenfrog.com/t/vyprvpnservice-exe-constantly-running/1247/8
    "vyprVPNservice.exe constantly running"

Crossposted here at request of Golden Frog.

    @keegan

Thanks for the update! I had also noticed this behavior and figured that something like the reasons you enumerated were the cause of it.

    Suggestion:
This is especially important on potentially memory-starved systems where the user may wish to use VyprVPN, but cannot afford to have it running full-time, or on the Android version where memory and processor cycles are very likely to be at a premium:

    • Create separate option items for "Start Application and start Service on startup, where "Start Application on startup" would automatically…

  10. Support Client Certificates

Please add support for client certificates for VPN authentication. This feature would provide value for many customers.

For users with the option enabled it would replace username / password authentication. Users would need to upload the public key component of their certificate.

I'm using OpenVPN Connect on iOS since VyperVPN does not support the OpenVPN or Chameleon protocols. The lack of client certificates is user-unfriendly. It requires extra password entry and limits the auto-connect feature.

  11. Add OpenVPN TCP servers

A lot of large institutes and public wifi hotspots are blocking OpenVPN over UDP protocol.

Could you please add protocol TCP over port 443.

A lot of other VPN providers already provide their customers with the ability to change ports/protocol for OpenVPN.

  13. Whitelist for websites

Have a whitelist for websites where you do not want to route traffic through the VPN, for example if you would like to access a website without using any VPN protocol, but still want to be use a VPN protocol when visiting other websites. Would help a lot, since I would not have to disconnect and reconnect at times.

    Best Regards,
    Mauritz N

  14. Allow connection to "fastest server" within a specific region

Please see my forum posting on this same topic located at http://forum.goldenfrog.com/t/connect-to-fastest-server-within-a-specific-region/1057/2

Currently VyprVPN has the capability to connect to the "fastest server", which is an excellent feature.

However, there are times when the "fastest" (closest) server is not the best one for me to use.

Example: I am abroad, (outside the U.S.), and I need to connect to a server within the U.S. - somewhere - though it may not really matter where. (My e-mail clients depends on this to successfully send mail.)

As it is now, I select a particular server, (in my case, NY), and automatically connect…

  15. Outbound Firewall

Configurable blocking of domains and IP ranges to prevent outbound traffic. This provides the following platform agnostic benefits:

*Blocking "Phone-home" applications on any device
*Parental control (block facebook apps and/or website)
*Disable C&C access to malware / botnets should a device or computer become compromised
    *Effective Ad and Tracking blocking

It could even be configured to operate in a White-listing mode to restrict access to exclusively approved ip's and domains.

  16. Server Status page in the control panel

Add in the user control panel section "Status Servers" visible only for subscribers VyprVPN, showing the percentage of use of a server (for example France 10% or Russia 80%). The figure close to 0% will be green while that close to 100% will be colored red)
This will allow users to know if the server service is overloaded and change accordingly to always have the fastest connection VyprVPN.

  17. Allow users to set maximum number of reconnection attempts

If reconnection attempt still fails after say, 3 or 5, tries, it's probably not going to work. It might be okay to just let it fail, or show a different alert.

  18. Billing Notifications

With a recurring payment like VyprVPN Pro being billed annually it should be necessary that some sort of notification is sent to alert the user of their remaining time before renewal. I have had to simply be surprised by my bank statement to find out that my subscription was ending; which I believe in 2015 with our communications technology is disappointing. The notification email should include the date of service interruption, the ability to choose another plan and/or cancel, and the ability to agree to one more year of subscription - it's simply common courtesy.

  20. changing server ip if blocked

there r isp or countries which block server name or server ips. it would be nice if the vyper software could detetc such severs and change automatically ips and shows just working servers on the sever list and remove that blocked Servers. :-)
