  1. Please add Chameleon for Linux users

Currently your help desk is telling me the only way I can use the Chameleon protocol is to install your app on my Windows PC (or some other non-Linux operating system). They say it's not available for Linux users. I prefer Linux because it's safer and more honest. Can you please add Chameleon as an option for Linux users? Probably you will also need to make a Linux desktop app.

  5. GUI for Linux

Develop a GUI for Linux that allows us to change any and all protocols, severs, DNS leak, kill switch, etc., etc. Constantly going into terminal and opening a text editor with sudo gets to be pain. Almost all security measure from firewalls, anti virus and malware now have GUI's VyprVPN should be no different.

  7. It would be desirable if you could also do an rpm. based application for the rest of the Linux farm.

  8. VyprVpn for the ever popular Asustor NAS Servers

I'm planning on buying one of the ever popular Asustor NAS Servers and would like to know if you intend on supporting Asustor NAS products using VyprVpn in the future.

    https://www.asustor.com/en/

Asustor is gaining more and more market share from QNAP etc...and I would love to see Goldenfrog developers supporting their NAS servers.

    Kind regards

    Ian

  10. Connect to VyprVPN Servers using OpenVPN config file

The ability to connect to any VyprVPN server, such as Toronto or Los Angeles, with a simple .opvn config file that would work on any platform.

This already exists in beta format for personal VyprVPN servers, but I would like to see it expanded to the public servers as well.

VyprVPN’s OpenVPN files can be used to connect on Linux, instructions can be found here – https://support.vyprvpn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037721812-VyprVPN-OpenVPN-Setup-for-Linux-Ubuntu-

Although the steps in the article above were made using Ubuntu 16.04, we have tested and confirmed that they work on Ubuntu 20.04 as well. It is likely to work on many other versions of Linux, but other versions haven’t been tested by us.

  11. VyprVPN for Kali Linux

I would love to see a version of the VyprVPN that works on Kali Linux. I have successfully used the new CLI on Ubuntu. However, the same approach does not work for Kali.

  13. Linux deserves a stable VyprVPN version with Chameleon Protocol

    Hello,

First of all, I am writing you from China and this year I've changed from another VPN provider (the name is starting with A...) to Vypr, and without doubt it was one of the best decisions I did take.

Regretfully, Green Frog don't have any stable Vypr program for Linux. I really hope this will change in the future !!!

    Best Wishes from China !!

  15. drop NetworkManager support for VyprVPN linux

    Hi
droping NetworkManager which is not in every linux distribution improve compatibility in other linux distribution where now is big problem ;(

example: hamachi - do not using this method to call over Network manager, and works almost on all linux distribution without any problems

Please consider make new version which not using anymore NetworkManager

I know even on Ubuntu and Debian this package making issue
we must edit conf files etc.

  16. Generate credentials for VPN

A security improvement might be to be able to generate a set of credentials (user/password) or another mechanism of authentication for OpenVPN to be used instead of goldenfrog user account (which might be default). This can be used to connect devices to VPN in risky environments where the device can be compromised and posses a high risk of leaking the goldenfrog user's credentials in case that the bad guys get into that device.

  17. A 'status' option for the Linux CLI

A command option that shows various stats for the connection (connection up or down, ip address, server etc.)

Even better would be an 'htop' style display for the connection.

  18. kill switch for linux vypr

I know linux vypr is still only in beta and just command line based but if you decide not to add a kill switch now; will you add one when linux vypr is gui based and fully done?

  20. Fastest server for Linux

    I received this via e-mail:
«We just updated VyprVPN for Windows, Mac and Android. The latest release adds exciting new improvements, including the ability to automatically connect to the fastest server location. Choose "fastest server" from the server list and VyprVPN will automatically connect to the fastest server available.»
and I'd like very much to have something working like that on my Ubuntu notebook.
