Sky TV and VPN
I am in Spain and, even though the VPN via London works for the majority of UK catchup TV services, it does not work for Sky Go or the Sky box. I am guessing that Sky somehow block the IP range. A solution to this would be great.

Thank you for your feedback and comments. Here is a block post that summarizes the issue: https://www.goldenfrog.biz/blog/blocking-by-streaming-services-increasing

same issue to connect to sky go Italy from Switzerland. I hope you will find a solution soon because make no sense to pay a lot of money for a VPN when it doesn't work and also after private storage is no longer provided.

It is still the same, Sky Go won't work with an active Vypr VPN. Will cancel my Vypr subscription.

This is a workaround that works for me from Seattle. You first logon to your Sky TV service (without VPN). Once you're logged-on successfully, you then VPN to a UK server. After that you should be able to successfully view Sky content. It's annoying to have to go through this two step process but at least it works! Hope this works for you until Golden Frog provide a more elegant solution. BTW I'm not a Microsoft employee or contractor but am probably the sole paying consumer of Windows laptops/tablets/phones. The only issue for me is that I cannot project Sky content to a large screen wirelessly using the MS Display Adapter. The workaround for that issue is to use a HDMI cable connection to the large screen when I want to watch Sky. I don't think the great God S. Jobs anticipated the need for a physical connector on an iPad...ah well.

Still the same for me. I'm in NY and specifically got Vyper to watch Sky &/or my Canal plus (Yomvi) but both apps are not able to function. Ridiculous, I don't need to pay to watch uktv as I use FilmOn which works fine without any vpn requirements.

Come on GF / Vypr get something. This is one of the main reasons people want / use a VPN in the western world.
It must be possible to do something to disguise the source IP, or even fake it. What about some sort of dynamic pool of addresses that would mean they'd always be trying to figure out which addresses to try and block. -

Sky News app now not working on iPad. No sky go as reported by lots of other people. Connected via VPN on router. Sky catchup is now unreliable. Using uk DNS servers. BBC iplayer, ITV, CH4 all ok.
Sky is definitely clamping down.

I have had Vyper on trial after my previous VPN supplier "ExPat Telly" went 'off the air'. Unfortunately it still hasn't delivered SkyGo despite trying both UK and ROI servers.
'ExPat Telly' VPN used to be able to deliver SkyGo for both Windows and Android devices. I'm not sure what method he used but it certainly worked well for the year that I used it.

Hi all, I'm just trialling VYPRVPN and found all is working except the Sky Go app. I haven't found a solution yet but will not agree to any subscriptions with Golden Frog if I can't access Sky Go.

Same issue - accessing via ipad ios 7+. all other streaming services work well (amazon, netflix, bbc iplayer). Sky has failed on every occasion in last few months in different locations via vyprvpn; even after returning to uk removing all applications reloading etc as soon as abroad (or even testing in uk) access via vyprvpn appears to be prohibited. Have cancelled subscription to vypr as does not work as described.

In Spain. Ditto same issues as all below...seems GF gone very quiet on this issue as comments date back to late last year...need to change VPN provider unless this is resolved.

Hi, the Vyprvpn app on the iPad does not allow access SkyGo when logged in to the UK IP.
Any ways to update the app to cope with this blocking? -
