LoopBack / Resource Hog / Color Scheme ?
I'd look to see some sort of loopback thing, where you can force an email client to only work if the vpn is connected. Similar to giganews accelerator where you use local host as the server in the news client, and it runs only if the accelerator is running. I would like this for travelling, with the old vpn it would disconnect on its own in hotels / airports / public wifi etc, and the email client would auto check for emails on the public wifi network in the clear. In the same vein when travelling force the browers to do the same, i.e. only connect through or via the vpn as long as the vpn is connected / on.
I find this new version is quite the resource hog (see attached ani gif) it is constantly listening and querying tcip/ip settings in windows. On all my machines it is constantly active while not in use
I would like to see the connected / disconnected colors be much more brighter. The pale blue indicating it is connected its pretty weak on a laptop. Should be much brighter go with that darker/brighter green like on the old version.
Lastly I prefer the previous version listing of all servers, while the new style is colorful and all with the flags, you got to scroll through quite a bit to see everything. Rather retain a list of say upto the last 5 servers used which will be displayed on right clicking on the icon in the task bar and from there you can select which server you want instead of opening the entire app. clicking to servers, scrolling through servers, then locating the one you want.
Thanks!
