This is about maintaining a clean and secure machine, having control over background services and activities. I am a foreign-currency and commodities trader and learned this lesson the hard way. During meetings with Interpol and the White-Collar Crimes Division I was shown how many background services are used hack machines, systems and networks. Only real solution is turn them off if not in use.
