VyprVPN Router App - The app should automatically connect the default VPN server at router startup and not rely on the user to do. So if there is a power problem the router will restart and the VPN service with start automatically..
Hey VyprVPN staff, please take note of this request. My ISP reboots their hardware every day at 3 am which breaks my connection. I can schedule a reboot of my router after they reboot theirs but then I have to remember to go back in to start the VPN, which is ridiculous and leaves me exposed. Please write a script or update the software to do this automatically. I appreciate the user that offers a script but the setting it requires does not work for me.
Hey guys, Here is a little VyprVPN Connection WATCHDOG script I created to Auto Connect on Startup and Reconnect and check the Connection every 90 Seconds - and then Reconnect if needed
It will be nice if VyprVPN router app on tomato router start vpn connection on router startup ..now it must turned on manually >>sorry for m
I've found a way to auto-connect at start.
Go to admin>scripts
In "wan up" field, paste this:
eval `wget "http://admin:email@example.com/user/cgi-bin/vyprvpn.cgi?[%22VYPRVPN_CONNECT%22,%22Poland%22,%22Chameleon%22]"`
Change password and IP according to your router. This is the URL called by the "connect" button. I used "firebug" to get it.
Don't forget to clic "save".
there may be a better way to do (direct call to vyprvpn daemon ?), but it's working...
(sorry if bad english, I'm french)
I think this is very very needed!!
I am currently Testing the VyprVPN Router App on Tomato in China.
Its working really well
Would it be possible to create an auto-connect on startup feature for the Vypr Router App?
When power is cycled on the router and it starts up it would be great if the VPN could auto connect - rather than having to go in and connect it manually.
