Wireguard in DD-WRT
Wireguard is the most robust protocol and VyprVPN is loosing big time against other VPN providers by not support Wireguard in DD-WRT Routers.
Check this out

WireGuard Configuration for GL-iNet Routers

IPsec/IKEv2 on OpenWRT as an alternative to Wireguard
Wireguard is not yet fully developed in contrast to IPsec/IKEv2 and both variants bring more speed on routers than with OpenVPN.
What is required from the implementation?
- an RSA public key or new certificates are necessary.
- the VyprVPN server must allow a VTI (Virtual Tunnel Interface) to be able to configure a KillSwitch on OpenWRT.
In the OpenWRT forum there are enough examples how to configure IPsec/IKEv2.
As you can see, not much is necessary for the implementation. Please vote.

Wireguard on OPNsense
I see you have many entries for a manual wireguard connection already so this is not a new idea - only another request for OPNsense.

Add VyprVPN Router App for Asuswrt-Merlin
The Asuswrt-Merlin firmware developed by for RMerlin for ASUS routers has become incredibly popular and is much easier for the average user to install and configure than Tomato or DD-WRT because from a user standpoint the only difference between it and the stock firmware from ASUS is additional settings.
ASUS has also recently released the RT-AC86U and GT-AC5300 routers which are capable of faster VPN speeds than most any other current consumer router due to the CPU supporting AES-NI, which is an instruction that accelerates VPN encryption speeds. Users are hitting north of 250 Mbps through OpenVPN on the RT-AC86U…

Make VyprVPN Router working again with latest Shibby version (140+)
Actually VyprVPN Router app works only up to version 132 (Release Date is October 2015). It is not working with latest Shibby version anymore.
Although it is a well-known issue there was no progress about 1 year:
https://forum.goldenfrog.com/t/tomato-app-version-combination/2672Due many (security) fixes by Shibby the VyprVPN should also support the latest Shibby version again and the support should not stop at version 132.

Whitelist for Service / IP Range / Domain to bypass VPN
Example: You have a Smart TV / Phone and want to protect your device using VPN, but some apps are using a VPN blocker (e.g. Netflix).
Instead of bypass VPN for given device it would be better to bypass the specific service (e.g. Netflix) by either Service / IP Range or domain.

ASUSWRT/VyprVPN Integration
The ASUSWRT Software is very well set up for managing an ASUS router. It would be great to be able to have the features from the VyprVPN app accessible through the ASUSWRT UI so that both can be used to a very powerful network set up.

Gargoyle support
VYPRVPN provide support for OPENWRT firmware running on many routers.
It will be nice to extend this support to the Gargoyle firmware (a front-end of OPENWRT).7 votes -
OpenVPN
It seems that the tomato shabby version of vyprvpn always connects the openvpn connections through the vyprvpn service. I'd like to see a way to stop that behavior, as I like to connect to my office with an openvpn connection using my router as an openvpn client. But when I enable the vypervpn, it's causing it to endpoint through vyprvpn and not my local ip address.

Add Fastest Server option to Router app
Just like how in the mobile app you can select the 'Fastest Server' option I would like to see this feature added to the Router App. This combined with the scripts to auto-connect at startup / auto-reconnect would enable the routers to be incredibly useful in countries with strict internet filters.

Choose server location per device
Currently, with the tomato router we can just define, if or if not a device should use the vpn. I would appreciate to be able, to define the connection per device. This would enable me, to use a connection with a US Server for my TV, but for my internet connection I would use a faster server from Europe.

Site-to-site filtering for VPN tunneling or bypass
I would like to suggest a Site-to-site filtering to choose between usage of VPN tunneling or bypassing VPN.
The problem in China is that there is censorship based on DNS/IP address. The router app allow us to tell if a device should use all its traffic through VPN or not. Another layer would be interesting to improve that.
I think maybe some more "techy"-people got a similar idea (last time I did this kind of thing was with an "iptable" command, 15years ago) but I cannot formulate it in a better way since I don't know much about Tomato firmware.14 votes -

VyprVPN Router App - The app should automatically connect the default VPN server at router startup and not rely on the user to do it
VyprVPN Router App - The app should automatically connect the default VPN server at router startup and not rely on the user to do. So if there is a power problem the router will restart and the VPN service with start automatically..
