Hide or remove icon from Dock
Please allow users to hide the app icon in the Dock. When it is in the Task Menu there no need for it to duplicate in the Dock as well.

Update support pages for OSX El Capitan
I have 2 macbooks with El Capitan. Due to their age no upgrade of the OS is possible.
Now VyprVPN dropped support for EL Capitan thus no bugfixes will be available.
Recently the VyprVPN app stopped working (no connection can get established), so I went through the support pages and noticed the indication of a manual VPN setup with IKEv2 support.
Now fact is that IKEv2 support on these OSs is buggy, every 8 minutes OSX wants to rekey, and the connection breaks.
This issue with IKEv2 is well documented, just google "os x ikev2 failed 8 minutes"So after…

Allow Preconfigured Known Networks for the "Public Wifi Protection"
We use VyprVPN for our Business Public VPN tool for employees who travel/work remotely. It would be nice to be able to preconfigure known networks for the tool, whether it be via .plist or through a MDM solution like JAMF, to auto-load the company SSID so we could push out the tool and settings through MDM. This would require users to automatically connect to VyprVPN on any other network other than the company wifi or their trusted home wifi that they've added to the list themselves.

Use NetworkExtension Framework
Use Apple's NetworkExtension framework instead of kernel extension to implement custom VPN protocols. This way, if Vyprvpn crashes, it won't bring down the whole system.

Faster Country Change
Please allow for faster server change. No need to force user to first disconnect then reconnect. If I want to connect to a new server then disconnection is implied. Let the app handle the disconnect automatically when I request he new server so that I only interact with it once without waiting for the first step to complete.
Also allow server changes from the drop down menu bar (Mac) without opening the full app window.
See Tunnel Bear for how they handle this. It’s easy and seamless.

Switching server within the same country
Let's say I am particularly interested in one country and to be more specific let's say USA where you have many servers located around the US country. Wat I am missing with the VyprVPN is a option like swithing server within the same country meaning that every time the VyprVPN is disconnected when connecting once more it would pick a different location within the same country meaning I would also receive a different IP meaning one step up on the security scalle.
The option I am talking about is simillar to the option picking the fastest server where the VyprVPN…

Command line (CLI) support for Mac OS
Initiative here was to turn on & off VyprVPN as fast as possible so that it requires less attention when it comes to switching. It always happens when you are working in a company that has their own LAN network required to visit internal websites, so you have to switch between internal and external.
These are the few minimal requirements I can think of to make such a CLI utility small but complete:
- option to connect to VyprVPN(of course)
- option of disconnect from VyprVPN
- option to specify which server(ip, alias, or hostname like tw1.vpn.goldenfrog.com) to connect to(you have to change…

Show fastest connection OTHER THAN your current country or a user-selected list of countries
Often users do not want the fastest server if it is within the country that they are currently in. For example, I may be in Indonesia, but I DO NOT want to connect to an Indonesian server for many reasons. Moreover, I may not wish to connect--ever--to servers in the Five Eyes.

Disable Shutdown Notification
Disable the notification "quitting Vypr will disconnect.." because this notification prevents the Mac from shutting down/restarting and/or crashes the Mac during shutdown/restart.

Add option to exclude trusted networks from kill switch
have a feature request for the VyprVPN client for Mac OS X which I think makes a lot of sense.
Right now it is not possible to use the kill switch feature in combination with the 'Connect on untrusted networks' features, because when you are on a trusted network it doesn't connect to the VPN servers and the kill switch doesn't let you use the internet even though the network is trusted.
I'd like to suggest an option to exclude trusted networks from the kill switch, so that I can have the VyprVPN app running all the time with the…

Megabytes instead of Megabits
The monitor should be able to measure speeds in MB instead of Mb. I use MB for everything and I'd lile the numbers to agree with each other.

Start app minimized on launch
I would like to suggest that an option to disable the connections window at startup be considered in a future version of VyprVPN.

Add an option to disable IPv6 systemwide
Right now IPv6 is enabled by default in Mac OS X and VyprVPN doesn't support IPv6 at all, so when a user doesn't disable IPv6 and surfs the internet over a network that provides an IPv6 address for him then he is basically unprotected and his real IP address is not hidden.
Maybe you should add a warning when someone first launches the app which says that IPv6 is enabled and that it is highly recommended to disable IPv6 and offer him a button to do so, because right now you have to use the Terminal.
Or, even better: add…

Show speed status in the menu bar directly (no need to open and show Vyprvpn)
Show upload and download speeds directly next to the item in the menu bar (or add setting for that). No need to click on it and the show the vyprvpn.

Shut down computer without VyprVPN confirmation pop-up interrupting
When shutting down my Mac computer (OSX) VyprVPN prevents the shut down from proceeding until it gets your confirmation that you wish to disconnect the VPN. Only after confirming will the shut down proceed. This feature should be disabled when shut down has been activated.

Solve the "Disconnecting" issue on Mac
When closing a MacBook (OSX Yosemite, kill switch active) the conneciton drops but when reopening the yellow button keeps saying "Disconnecting". Quitting the application has no effect. Only restarting the system or manually removing "vyprvpnservice" in the PrivilegedHelperTools and quitting the process in Activity Monitor works.
There must be an option to 'quit' the 'disconnecting' process...

Yosemite dark menu - VyprVPN black and white option bug
The round status area (padlock symbol) in the VyprVPN icon in the OS X menu bar is blank when the black and white preference option is selected in conjunction with Yosemite's dark menu theme. A small but annoying bug for those that like a colourless menubar.

This will be resolved in the 2.7.5 release this week. -
More robust connection after Mac wakes from sleep
When my Mac wakes from deep sleep, it takes a few seconds for the internet connection to come back online.
Every time this happens, Vyper gets stuck in a 'connecting...' state and never connects. I have to a) notice the icon stuck in the yellow state in the menu bar, b) physically open the app, c) cancel the current connection and c) start it up again.
I would like Vpyr to notice when it's stuck in that state and fix the problem by itself.
I'm using ComHem in Sweden.
