At least some indicator which would show actual status of the connecion and with menu to control the connection.

Good point, very often it is not necessary to protect mobile connection, it is mainly Wi-Fi connections which are dangerous and must by protected.

It should be possible, but preferrably only for specifically allowed networks (possibly the same list as "trusted networks" in settings). The same applies for bypassing "per app" - it should only be allowed on trusted networks, not in all networks.

May be some additional feature for VyprDNS could help with this... Ads are the new plaque, especially on mobile network connection.
I think that GoldenFrog is rather government-friendly company.
